Fretting and fuming, one day, she gave vent,
"Publishers today are Scrooges,
Unwilling to pay the right wages,
I met one today, a case in point,
Who runs a pretty renowned joint,
3 articles, he asked me if could write,
About life,love, and all things bright;
The fellow had the gall
To offer me 1000 bucks for all three - that's all!
So I told him that articles, for that money, I'd give him three other,
A, An and The".
